Client Notebook Pages
Each client has a dedicated notebook page for important notes:
- Alarm codes and gate access information
- Primary contact names and phone numbers
- Billing or service notes
- Special instructions or access procedures
Click the icon next to a client to open their notebook page. Link to clients from other pages using [[Client:ID]] syntax.
Assigning Rooms to Clients
When creating or editing a room:
- Find the Client / Project dropdown
- Select the appropriate client
- Save the room
The room dashboard displays client names next to each room for easy filtering.
Dashboard Filtering
On the room dashboard:
- Use the client filter dropdown to view rooms for a specific client
- Switch between clients quickly without searching
- See device counts and room totals per client
Cross-Client Safety
HomeRunbook enforces strict boundaries between clients:
- Devices in Client A's rooms cannot connect to devices in Client B's rooms
- Cross-room connection menus only show rooms belonging to the same client
- Prevents accidental cross-contamination of documentation
Client Handoff
Share documentation with your clients:
- Create public sharing links for individual rooms
- Export PDFs with QR codes for physical handoff
- Clients can view without creating an account
Deleting Clients
Warning: Deleting a client permanently deletes all associated rooms, devices, and connections. This cannot be undone.
Recommendation: If you want to keep the technical data, reassign rooms to "Unassigned" or another client before deletion.
