Client Management

Professional and Enterprise users can manage multiple clients, organizing rooms and documentation under distinct client profiles.


Who Uses This Feature?

Plan Requirements

Free / Personal / Power User Not available (rooms managed directly)
Professional Up to 10 clients
Teams Up to 50 clients
Enterprise Unlimited clients

Creating a Client

  1. Navigate to the Clients page from the Manage menu
  2. Click New Client
  3. Enter the Client Name (e.g., "Smith Residence", "Acme Corp")
  4. Add optional contact details and notes
  5. Click Save Client

Client Notebook Pages

Each client has a dedicated notebook page for important notes:

Click the icon next to a client to open their notebook page. Link to clients from other pages using [[Client:ID]] syntax.

Assigning Rooms to Clients

When creating or editing a room:

  1. Find the Client / Project dropdown
  2. Select the appropriate client
  3. Save the room

The room dashboard displays client names next to each room for easy filtering.

HomeRunbook enforces strict boundaries between clients:

Client Handoff

Share documentation with your clients:

  1. Create public sharing links for individual rooms
  2. Export PDFs with QR codes for physical handoff
  3. Clients can view without creating an account

Deleting Clients

Warning: Deleting a client permanently deletes all associated rooms, devices, and connections. This cannot be undone.

Recommendation: If you want to keep the technical data, reassign rooms to "Unassigned" or another client before deletion.
